In the International Year of the Nurse and Midwife, join us in celebrating the critical role nurses play in our lives and become an advocate for the profession by donating to the UC Nursing Research Fund to help keep nursing research thriving and improving outcomes for patients.
Every dollar donated will go directly toward nursing research at UC by providing the opportunity for practicing nurses to set aside their scrubs for a time and apply their practical knowledge in the critical analysis of the challenges and opportunities in delivering patient care at all stages of life.
100% of your donation will go directly to nursing research and all donations over $2 to the UC Nursing Research Fund are tax deductible.
Evidence-based research into care models benefits the management of patients during illness and recovery, reduces risks for disease and disability, and promotes healthy lifestyles. Not only was the University of Canberra one of Australia’s first universities to offer nursing degrees 30 years ago, we continue to train hundreds of nurses each year and advance nursing through research.
Nurses are frequently nominated as the most trusted profession. Especially in the current Covid challenges, the public have indicated that they’d really like to support nurses in their work. Research money will enable nursing teams to do research on what makes a difference to the quality of patient care
