UC Open Day 2018 - Saturday 25 August

UC Open Day is a once-a-year opportunity to see what it's like to live, study and work in the nation's capital.

It's your chance to experience life at the University of Canberra first-hand. You'll get the chance to explore the campus and discover different courses, career opportunities, latest innovations, displays, clubs and so much more!

We've teamed up with accommodation providers, local attractions,Visit Canberra & Study Canberra so you're guaranteed to enjoy an action-packed day filled with free activities, events and educational displays.

Everything kicks off with a FREE breakfast on the concourse from 9:00am.

From 7:00 pm the University of Canberra Union will be hosting special guests 'Triple J's High Winner' Japanese Wallpaper including supporting acts Neko Pink, Bottlebrush and Aphir. Please note, this is an 18+ event.

Located in Building 1, the Expo Hall brings all five (5) of our Faculties together in one centralised place. Visit all the stalls to find out about:

Fun on the day

UC Open Day is jam packed with fun activities and entertainment. From the free breakfast in the morning, to a multitude of displays and demonstrations and Virtual Reality Activations (on offer from Canberra Innovation Network and our Arts & Design Faculty)- this is YOUR chance to explore, discover and gain a new appreciation of what we have to offer at UC.

Make sure you visit the Market Day stalls on the concourse to chat to our Student Clubs and Societies. We also have special guests from the University Admissions Centre (UAC), Visit Canberra/ Study Canberra, The National Zoo & Aquarium, National Dinosaur Museum & Questacon who will be running competitions and giveaways!

If you’re getting into Canberra on Friday we’ve got your night set! From 4:00pm we’ll have an event on campus run by our accommodation providers to give you an extra opportunity to experience what life on campus has to offer. From 7:30pm UC Life! will be hosting a FREE concert  with Triple J Unearthed High 2017 winner, Arno Faraji.

Residential Sport - Open Round

Our on-campus accommodation providers have teamed up to create a fun filled evening on Friday 24th August.

Prospective Students and Parents are welcome to join current student residents and staff in the Residential Sport – Open Round. Go head to head with current residents and staff during three games of sport, which will be running from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the Gym (Building 4).

Staff and students from UniLodge and Campus Living Village (CLV) will be there to answer questions after the games, and share experiences over some complimentary food and drinks at The Well (on the UC Concourse) from 6pm onwards.

UC Hub presents Arno Faraji

UC Hub Presents Triple J Unearthed High 2017 winner, Arno Faraji with support from Tenda (Tahlia Makunde), Kirklandd and The Ansah Brothers. Kicking off at 7:30PM in the UC Hub!  UC Hub is an 18+ Venue. This is a Free Entry event, so we'll see you there!

Late Night Shopping

Friday is the night in Canberra for late night shopping! Most shopping centres are open until 9pm with some stores open even later. Locals know there’s a thriving nightlife in Canberra and they’re happy to share it so why not make an evening of it by checking out some of the superb local produce from eateries around town and shopping at the newly expanded Canberra Centre.
