Insight into our new IT specialisations

Our brand-new IT specialisations for undergraduate and postgraduate courses have been specifically geared towards getting graduates ahead in a fast moving, ever-changing technoscape.  Developed around a big picture perspective and exploring in-demand niche areas, the new IT degrees and specialisations are opening up a whole new world of knowledge, skills and potential.

Dr Wanli Ma, Head of the School of Technology, is confident that the new specialisations will position graduates to be in serious demand in the coming years, thus building on an already stellar employability rate for the University’s IT graduates.

A significant number of our domestic students are already hired mid-way through their courses. We expect that this trend will continue for all graduates in each of our specialist IT areas as the industry and our courses continue to evolve - Dr Ma said.

Our new specialisations include:

  •      Cybersecurity
  •      Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics
  •      Data Science
  •      Cloud Computing and the Internet of Things.
