“I know that what I study is a very big decision to make, and since I’m not 100% sure of what I want to do I thought this was the perfect program to help me test the waters and understand the options available to me.”

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students

We’re committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to achieve their goals academically, culturally and personally.

If you are an ambitious Year 11 student, involved in your community and identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, we encourage you to apply for UC’s Fast Forward Program.

Upon entry to UC our students will have access to our Ngunnawal Centre dedicated to helping students achieve academic and career goals, offering study support, providing leadership development services and celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through events on campus.

How to apply

To apply for the Fast Forward program, complete an online application form by Monday 31 August 2020. Your application should address the three selection criteria:

  3. An explanation of how being part of the Fast Forward Program would be beneficial to you and to the University of Canberra.

Shortlisted students who meet the above criteria will be invited to participate in a face-to-face interview. Following the interview process, a maximum of 25 students will be selected to participate in the Fast Forward Program in 2021.

Two places in the program will also be prioritised for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
