Total Research Explorer (TREX) Training

Find out about new performance tracking tool, Total Research Explorer (TREX) during hands-on training led by Research Analytics Team.
Total Research Explorer (T-REX) is a custom-built application designed for UC research staff and their supervisors.
The application allows you to track your research performance against the Performance Expectations for Academic Staff (PEAS).
T-REX dynamically sources data from several other systems, including HR Online, Pure, Callista, SciVal and TRIP, so you and your manager can see exactly how you’re currently tracking, without having to manually enter any data.
It also includes the ability to input foretasted work, so you can see how this may impact your overall research performance or see what’s required at the next academic level.

Additional Information
The session will cover the navigation and functionalities of TREX and provide hands-on time for participants to trial them. We will also look at metrics used for PEAS, their meaning and integrations with other University systems.
Participants are encouraged to bring along their own devices (tablet, laptop). To assist you better, we will be limiting groups to 10 attendees at the time.
