Safe and respectful community

At the University of Canberra we all have the right to study, work and live in a safe and respectful community. We have zero tolerance to unacceptable behaviour such as bullying, violence, harassment or sexual assault. If you have concerns or need support, let us help.

The Student Centre

The Student Centre is the 'one-stop-shop' for all students' general administrative needs.


Security works to provide a safe environment on campus, and also manages lost property.

Learning and Study Support

Study Skills programs include face-to-face and online help for assignment writing, referencing, finding information, mathematics and statistics, and using Moodle and Mahara; as well as PALS group study sessions for large first year units.

The UC Library provides a wide range of services for students and staff.

Health and Wellbeing

The Medical and Counselling Centre provides medical and counselling services and appointments as well as a range of health information.

Inclusion & Engagement coordinates and implements services and support to assist students with disability and/or health conditions. Additionally, Inclusion & Engagement provides leadership in the coordination of Academic Clubs and Societies at UC.

Student Welfare will be able to support you with a variety of issues including grievances, misconduct, financial difficulties, study problems and anything which many be impacting your ability to study successfully. Contact with the Welfare Office is confidential and free to all students.

The Multi-faith Centre offers pastoral care services for all UC students and staff.

International Student Support

The International Student Support Service provides support for Visa and CoE inquiries, guidance with UC policies and processes and Australia Awards student support.

The Ngunnawal Centre

The Ngunnawal Centre supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Careers UC

Careers UC supports students to develop employability skills, secure jobs on and off campus and provides guidance for career pathways.

Research Students' support

The HDR Support team, Graduate Research Graduate Research provides administrative support for research students.
Graduate Research also provide a range of development and skills training activities for research students and staff involved in research and research supervision as part of the UC Researcher Development (UC ReD) program.
