Syllabus

In this unit, students will be introduced to the foundational concepts of organisational change and change management.

Students will develop their ability to plan proactively, lead and manage the required change of organisations going through any form of change such as new policy adoption, new product development or some form of innovation.

This unit is delivered self-paced online, requiring students to self-manage their work load, developing many skills required of outstanding graduate students.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

1. Identify requirements for organisational change to improve business performance;

2. Design appropriate change management strategies suitable for the organisation and team;

3. Develop a clear change management plan that identifies potential threats to change;

4. Design communications strategies that take into account potential threats to change; and

5. Create plans to support and manage individuals and their performance through the change process.

Must have passed 9926 Fundamentals of Management AND 36 credit points.

Fundamental concepts of business management and the role and function of managers.
