    Syllabus

    This unit provides students with an integrated view of Human Resource Management. It covers concepts such as performance management, managing diversity, managing employee recruitment and selection, learning and development, occupational health and safety, and international dimensions of human resource management.

    Learning Outcomes

    Upon successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

    1. Critically evaluate the linkages between HRM functions and organisational strategies;

    2. Critically analyse key theoretical concepts and debates in human resource management; and

    3. Critically analyse the key HRM functions in order to provide supporting evidence for recommendations for improvement in a given organisational context.
