The unit is designed to strengthen student research knowledge, and research skills. A blended learning approach is taken and applied in a problem-based setting so that students complete tasks to support their own research interests.

This unit will be co-taught with unit 9420 Research Methods in Exercise and Sport PG.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

1. source and critically appraise research in an identified Sports Studies research field;

2. Design a research project to a standard acceptable to their field of study; and

3. Communicate project ideas in a form acceptable to the field of study.
