Syllabus

Students will participate in professional placements in areas of potential employment within the nutrition and dietetics profession.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit, students will have gained practical experience in a variety of settings and will be able to:

1. Explore potential fields of employment not covered in previous placements;

2. Participate successfully in a Mentoring arrangement;

3. Make an autonomous contribution as a dietetics professional within a workplace; and

4. Demonstrate professionalism and self management.

Students are required to complete a minimum of 4 weeks (full-time) of a professional placement.

Assessment of Dietetic Competence PG, 10137.
