Syllabus
In this unit, students will survey and analyse the modern interior. The students will undertake a variety of research-based tasks, to develop their knowledge of the form and function of modern living, working, social and service settings. Emphasis will be placed on researching interior architecture through case studies.
Learning Outcomes
At the completion of this unit the student will:
1. understand the typological nature of modern living, working, social and service settings;
2. be aware of the impact environmental, spatial and cultural influences have on interior design;
3. understand the historical context of interior design practice;
4. be able to analyse the modern interior.
