Syllabus

This unit studies the current and emerging roles of pharmacists in health care, including predicting, preventing, detecting and solving common medication-related problems in practice around the disease states covered, using a patient focused approach.

Learning Outcomes

On completion of this unit students will be able to:

1. Demonstrate professional communication skills;

2. Integrate pharmacology and therapeutics knowledge to predict, prevent, detect and solve common medication-related problems around the disease states covered; and

3. Demonstrate patient-focused approach to pharmacy practice.
