Syllabus

In this unit skills in critical appraisal of the research literature as it can be applied to the assessment and treatment decisions made in physiotherapy practice are developed. Epidemiological research studies are appraised, and the applications to health care practice are explored. An understanding of research design and research methods is gained, so that a project proposal can be developed for the honours thesis. This unit is co-taught with the unit Evidence Based Practice, 8988.
