This unit will synthesise students' theoretical understanding about the procedures and practices of project administration and implementation. Students will reflect on their learning and will be given a sound appreciation of the importance of ethical practice. Students will be introduced to the professional work place through a placement in a Landscape Architecture (or allied design) practice or government department employing landscape architects (or allied designers).
On completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. demonstrate an understanding of procedures, quality assurance measures, and document management systems used in professional practice;
2. demonstrate ethical professional practices;
3. contribute to the debate, practice and theory related to the contribution of landscape architecture to a sustainable future;
4. articulate and critique the professional expectations of the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects for entering the profession as a graduate.
