    Drawing on previous study in either the fields of knowledge management, internet communication, creative writing, tourism or interactive multimedia, students undertake an independent project and work directly with a supervisor. Entry into the unit is at the discretion of the relevant course convenor and based on a written proposal, setting out the objectives, scope and proposed methodology.

    Students in the Master of Creative Writing and the Master of New Media, will conceptualise, produce and present a major piece of creative work. Students are encouraged to integrate writing with visual or sound media using existing or new media formats. A demonstrated engagement with the particular requirements of interactive technologies in also encouraged.

    Learning Outcomes

    On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

    1. Have demonstrated their ability to undertake an independent and professionally relevant project. Students of Creative Writing and New Media will have: experience in the conceptualisation and execution of a major piece of creative work; demonstrated experience in project design and execution, and a portfolio enhanced by a major piece of creative work.
