In this studio unit students undertake the design and siting of systems and facilities in a broad-scale non-urban setting. With an emphasis on sustainable design, the relationship between access, site, structures and infrastructure is developed to reflect a synthesis of ecological, cultural and technical principles of landscape planning and design. Field work is included in this unit.
- analyse a site at planning scale in the context of sustainable principles
- develop a landscape masterplan that integrates access, structures and infrastructure within an established brief
6 hours per week
Design Studio 2.2 Restrictions:This unit is not open to students who have passed Design Studio 2.1 (Landscape Architecture)
Good skills in composing design graphics in a digital environment; good CAD drafting and editing skills.
