This studio unit investigates the phenomenon and contemporary role of landscape infrastructure in cities and towns such as urban forests, parks, parkways, streets and avenues. Using Canberra as a case study, students will design public spaces and places to support a range of sustainability objectives. Field work is included in this unit.
- analyse urban landscape infrastructure
- creatively design sustainable site-specific landscapes for environmental and social benefit
- clearly communicate key ideas and design principles both verbally and visually;work effectively in groups and as individuals

Design Studio 1.2 Restrictions:This unit is not open to students who have passed Design Studio 2.1 (Landscape Architecture)
Basic skills in composing design graphics in a digital environment.
