Syllabus
The unit will have two Module s, the nature of science and ethics. Each will be illustrated using case studies in sustainability and climate change, as appropriate.
Learning Outcomes
- apply knowledge they have developed of the philosophies, methods and ethics of science to understand and analyse how science works; comprehend the two-way interactions of science and society, including the role of ethics in science;
- apply the skills of critical thinking, interpretation and analysis of data and demonstrate competency in arguments, discussions and written presentations of findings, and team work.
