Syllabus
This unit provides an overview of research methods for population groups. Frameworks for health demographic research will be applied to a range of 'real' scenarios from Australia and internationally. Students will develop an understanding of research approaches to gather data about population groups.
Learning Outcomes
- describe government approaches to health data management
- identify common sources of monitoring and surveillance data for health outcomes
- select the appropriate research framework for a range of health issues in populations
