Syllabus
This unit is a practical introduction to media production principles and practices, focusing on the still and moving image. As well as key technical processes, such as still and video camera operation, image capture and manipulation, the unit will introduce approaches to analysing and understanding media images and their production.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:
1. demonstrate effective techniques in the production of still and moving images;
2. analyse the still and moving image in terms of meaning, content and technique;
3. respond creatively in the production of still and moving images; and
4. demonstrate technological literacy.

Up to three hours of class contact per week.
