    Syllabus

    The unit is concerned with ethical and professional responsibilities that arise in dealing with cultural heritage Students will develop an understanding of the key ethical issues in the fields of cultural heritage, conservation, museums and collecting.

    Learning Outcomes

    DESCRIPTION:

    1. Demonstrate knowledge of the main codes of ethics for professional practice in cultural heritage

    2. Understand the key professional responsibilities and obligations of heritage practitioners

    3. Demonstrate a critical awareness of the cultural context of the professional ethics relating to: a) cultural materials and stewardship; b) diverse communities; and c) all aspects of professional heritage and conservation practice
