    Syllabus

    The unit is a practical introduction to museums and cultural heritage collections and covers the span of special expertise required for management. A theoretical component in the unit is concerned with the application of particular scholarly disciplines. A practical component, conducted in the National Collecting Institutions, is concerned with evaluating and analysing different types and styles of collections and their needs.

    Learning Outcomes

    DESCRIPTION:

    1 - demonstrate and apply knowledge of the museum industry

    2 - research and generate ideas for exhibition concepts

    3 - handle cultural material for display, analysis and research purposes

    Contact Hours

    10 total hours per week including six hours lab time.
