Syllabus
The unit will cover the following areas:Theories, practice and nature of entrepreneurship in small business, large corporations, government, not-for-profit and community organisations;Key trends and practices in entrepreneurship, both nationally and internationally;Economic and social implications of entrepreneurship;Key issues for successful entrepreneurship, such as the problems of ethnicity and gender issues in entrepreneurship.
Learning Outcomes
- Develop a sound understanding of the theories underpinning entrepreneurship globally
- Explain and discuss the differences between the range of entrepreneurial activities and organisations
- Demonstrate an understanding of the inter-relationship between management and entrepreneurship
- Acquire the skills to analyse emerging trends in global entrepreneurial activities
