Syllabus
This unit provides the basis for professional practice in vocational education and training (VET). As a part of the unit, students study issues and practices related to VET for adult learning and in particular to the secondary school environment; and will also have the opportunity to complete relevant qualifications for working in the VET sector.
Learning Outcomes
DESCRIPTION:
1.On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to: Demonstrate discipline and professional knowledge in Vocational Education and Training (VET);
2.Demonstrate knowledge and skills in advanced pedagogy for the delivery of VET
3.Identify and work with key aspects of the learning environment that impact on VET learning design; and
4.Analyse and assess aspects of ?best practice? in vocational education in a school setting.

7 week intensive program involves: class contact approx. 12 hours per week.

Assumed Knowledge
Completion of discipline units in Design & Technology teaching or Outdoor Recreation; and enrolled in 111JA or 115JA; or approval of unit or course convener.
