    Cognitive Psychology addresses advanced topics in cognition and cognitive science in the areas of attention, memory, concept learning, language, meta-cognition, connectionism, and applied cognitive psychology. Laboratory work is a compulsory part of this component.

    Learning Outcomes

    On completion of this unit the student will be:

    1. able to demonstrate knowledge of theory and research related to advanced topics in cognitive psychology;

    2. familiar with how to carry out a replication of, or extension to, an established experiment in cognitive psychology;

    3. able to communicate both orally (and in writing) the outcome of research in cognitive psychology.
