Syllabus
This unit introduces students to the idea of policy as a major component of government activity and to some of the now widely used techniques of policy analysis and policy evaluation. The unit is structured to examine the nature of policy and the policy process; policy design and argumentation comparative public policy and problems of implementation.
Learning Outcomes
DESCRIPTION:
1. knowledge and understanding of the main forms of government action in western countries.
2. an understanding of the techniques used to explain policy formation, evaluation, and policy change.
3. a critical grasp of the skills required for policy and analysis in the bureaucracy.
