    Syllabus

    This unit aims to provide students with the analytical skills required for successful postgraduate study. Research methods studied include a range of qualitative techniques used in academic research conducted in business, management and other organization contexts. The written component will emphasise the preparation and evaluation of research questions and propositions. Assessment will be by assignments and preparation and evaluation of research questions and research propositions.

    Learning Outcomes

    On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

    1. Have an acquired knowledge of qualitative research methods used in business and other organization contexts;

    2. On completing this unit participants will have: acquired knowledge of qualitative research methods used in business and other organization contexts; and

    3. Will have demonstrated skills in preparing and evaluating research questions and research propositions.
