    Syllabus

    This unit aims to provide students with the analytical skills required for successful postgraduate study. Research methods studied include a range of statistical techniques used in academic research conducted in business, management and other organization contexts. The written component will emphasise the preparation and testing of research hypotheses. Assessment will be by assignments and preparation and testing of research hypotheses.

    Learning Outcomes

    On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

    1. Understand quantitative research methods used in business and other organization contexts;

    2. Choose the appropriate research methods for particular circumstances; and

    3. Demonstrate skills in preparing and testing hypotheses.
