Syllabus

In this unit, students analyse the relationships between environments (sociocultural, geophysical and virtual) and occupation. Students will develop skills in enabling participation by modifying environments and/or occupations.

This unit is co-taught with 9072 Occupational Therapy Toolbox 2 PG.

Learning Outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to:

1. Describe how factors in the environment help and hinder occupational performance;

2. Show how information collected from the environment can formulate appropriate changes to maintain or improve participation for individuals; and

3. Develop an understanding of common aids, equipment and appliances occupational therapists use to enable occupation.
