Introduction:

This Contemporary Music Performance Major focuses on the gradual acquisition and development of advanced stagecraft, performance skills and contemporary musicianship, through a series of evolving, contrasting, live concerts. The Major focuses on planning and rehearsal, musicality and creativity in performance, as well as self and peer evaluation. It includes historical and theoretical perspectives regarding performance practice, musical genres, instrumentation and technology. The major is restricted to students studying the Bachelor of Contemporary Music Practice. It does not have pre/co-requisites outside the major and has no other enrolment restrictions.
