Introduction:
The Major in Food Technology Teaching is for students wishing to qualify to teach Food Technology in secondary schools. Students must also complete the required Curriculum Pedagogy and Practice units in Design and Technology. Students wishing to qualify to teach Food Technology as their first teaching area would normally also complete the Major in Design and Technology Teaching. Students who have completed 8795 Acquisition of Vocational Skills 2a (part A) & 8796 Acquisition of Vocational Skills 2a (part B) as part of the Major in Design and Technology Teaching must complete: 8330 Digital Environment and 8253 Nutrition Across the Lifecycle.
Prerequisite and/or Corequisite:
Students must be enrolled in course 115JA Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Science.
