Introduction:
THIS MAJOR IS CLOSED TO STUDENTS COMMENCING IN 2021 OR LATER. For students interested in a possible future career as a Genetic Counsellor, this major is designed to provide suitable backgrounds in human psychology, biochemistry, genetics and molecular biology. It should be noted that for full part 1 accreditation by the Human Genetics Society of Australia (HGSA), a fourth year Graduate Diploma is also required. (For students who have included the unit Business Statistics elsewhere within their course requirements, the unit Mathematical Methods should be substituted for the unit Introduction to Statistics in this major in order to avoid a large overlap of content. )
