Introduction:
This major provides non-economics students with the basic economic skills needed to undertake economic analyses in a variety of contexts. Students may select a group of electives most appropriate for their interests; for example for a business focus students could choose units such as Business Forecasting, Global E-Business, Asia Pacific Business and Managerial Economics, while those interested in economic policy might choose from Environmental and Resource Economics, Economics of the Public Sector, Human Resource Economics and Project Evaluation and Management.
