Tutored and mentored by internationally recognised teaching staff, this course helps you develop and implement a proposal evaluating the delivery and effectiveness of an aspect of health care in a specialist area. Areas of focus include Clinical Leadership or Mental Health.
You’ll also undertake a clinical research project in consultation with your allocated academic supervisor and submit the completed work for industry publication and peer review.

Work Integrated Learning (WIL)
The concept of WIL is a vital component to the UC approach to learning, and through the Master of Nursing course, you’ll get the opportunity to participate in both a health practice evaluation and a clinical research project exploring real-world areas of healthcare.
With one-on-one personal training and ongoing mentoring from leading nursing experts, you’ll also be encouraged to take part in seminars, workshops, and conferences where you will learn about cutting-edge research and innovative solutions to complex challenges facing the health sector.

Professional Accreditation
A Graduate Diploma in the field of Mental Health Nursing is the minimum academic requirement for credentialing with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN).

A) hold a Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent pre-registration Bachelor level nursing degree
B) be registered, or be eligible to register, as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), or equivalent overseas nursing regulatory body
C) be employed, as a Registered Nurse, in a relevant health setting*
*The health setting must be relevant to the nursing stream chosen.
Admission to this course is competitive. Applications will be assessed on the basis of academic merit and the number of available places.

The fees detailed above are the annual fee rates for the course. The annual rate is the fee that applies to standard full-time enrolment, which is 24 credit points. The final fee charged is based on the proportion of 24 credit points in which a student enrols. Students enrolled in a Commonwealth Support Place (CSP) are required to make a contribution towards the cost of their education, which is set by the Commonwealth Government.
