How do I transfer to another degree/change my course?

At the University of Canberra we understand that you may wish to transfer to another degree or change your course. Details of how to transfer/change are detailed below.

Domestic students

If you are a current student and wish to change your course, you need to fill out a Current Student Change of Course Form (Domestic) and submit to the Student Centre before Orientation week. Early closing dates for ranked courses still apply.

Early application is encouraged as late applications may lead to a disrupted start in your new course. Submission of a change of course form does not guarantee entry into your preferred course. All applications are assessed against the course entry requirements and course availability.

Once you receive an offer to your new course:

If you are made an offer to your nominated course, you will need to ensure you enrol yourself under your new degree via MyUC. Please ensure that when you are enrolling yourself through self-enrolment, you select the correct degree.

You will also need to complete the relevant Commonwealth Assistance Forms (HECS/FEE/SA-HELP) for your new course. This must be finalised by the Census date as failure to do so may result in your course being discontinued.

Credit/Advanced Standing:

You should be aware that you will not automatically be awarded advanced standing (credit) towards your new degree. You will need to seek course advice from your new Course Convenor/faculty who will advise whether you are eligible for credit towards your new degree. In circumstances where advanced standing can be awarded, you will need to complete an Application for Credit (Advanced Standing), which must be signed by your Course Convenor and submitted to the Student Centre for processing.

International Students
