$16,500 raised for Student Empowerment Fund
As of February 2020, $16,500 has been raised for the Student Empowerment Fund (SEF). SEF is administered by Student Welfare and exists to provide emergency financial aid to students.
The goal of SEF is to keep students at university and able to complete their studies. All students are eligible to apply and are simply required to demonstrate that the one-off assistance will support their study and that their current financial situation is atypical.
SEF is there to stop students dropping out of university- to keep them studying and realising their full potential.
100% of donations will go to a student in an emergency situation.
