Ageing

Ageing

Australian life expectancy hit a new record high in 2018, with babies born in that year expected to live to 80.7 years if they are male and 84.9 years if they are female (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2018). Furthermore, children born today may live until they are 112. With this in mind, University of Canberra researchers are exploring ways of living healthier lives to enable us to be as healthy as long as we can, as well as optimising opportunities to improve quality of life for those growing older now.
