The Faculty of Education offers Australian and international Education graduates, postgraduate courses that provide in-depth knowledge of the issues affecting modern education. Areas of exploration include contemporary theory, critical research and the effects of globalisation on the education sector.

Duration: 1 year (full-time)

Admission Requirements

A four-year undergraduate degree in education or a three-year undergraduate degree plus a one-year graduate diploma in education, and in either case a minimum of three years professional experience in an educational context.

OR

A three-year undergraduate degree in education or a cognate discipline deemed equivalent by the University Admissions Committee, and in either case a minimum of four years professional experience in an educational context.

On Campus - The course is delivered on-campus and face to face, supplemented with online content. Most classes are run on weekdays and during business hours.

All classes are run in intensive blocks during ACT school holiday periods to meet the needs of educational professionals.

The Master of Education (Capital Region Program) is a unique and tailored degree which has been designed to meet the needs of the profession and our region.

Entry into this program is restricted to currently practicing teachers and educational leaders (including those in non-school based roles) within the ACT and NSW Capital Region. It seeks to promote excellence in post graduate learning and to build an educational community of practice across our region, supporting educational improvement and ultimately, bettering outcomes for our children and young people.
