Public Lecture Series at the University of Canberra

University of Canberra Public Lectures are important for national and international speakers to share the latest ideas, thinking and opinions from a diverse range of disciplines. They provide the opportunity for disseminating ideas between academia, government, professional bodies and the Canberra community.

The University of Canberra Public Lecture Series incorporates the Don Aitkin Lecture Series and the National Security Lecture Series.

The Don Aitkin Lecture Series is named after the former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Canberra (1991- 2002). Professor Aitkin, a historian and political scientist, has been a noted public intellectual in Australian life since the 1960s.
