Coverer in Yellow by Peter Perdriau

The artwork:

‘Coverer in Yellow’ is an acrylic and pastel work on paper and its strong use of block colour is a good example of Perdriau’s sway towards fauvinism. In the harbour we see a yacht drifting past. The in-offensive, dreamlike scene is most likely remembered from one of Perdriau’s outings to nearby Lavender Bay.
