About UC

Transport

Parking

Please note that in ROW Week and at the beginning of each semester it can be very difficult to park your car, and we recommend that you use other means of transport.

Buses

Action

Action is the name of Canberra's local bus service. Bus route and timetable information is available from the Action website.

For details of bus routes serving the University, look for University of Canberra (College Street) on the route page.

Action MY WAY cards are available from the UCU Shop on campus and from other agencies, e.g. the Action office at the Civic Interchange. These are debit cards which you can top up with sufficient money to pay for your bus fares. If you are a student, you will have to fill out an application form for a Student Concession MY WAY card which lets you travel more cheaply.

On the bus you place your card against the MY WAY Card Reader both when getting on and getting off the bus. Do not "swipe" the card, or the reader will not work!

On the bus you may buy a ticket from the driver, which can be used as many times as you wish within 90 minutes of the time you bought it.

Bus stops are located in College Street, and all buses on the principal intertown routes (Belconnen - Civic - Woden - Tuggeranong) stop there.

For location of bus stops, see our online Campus Map.

Please note that the bus stops on Bimbimbie Street are now only served by two weekend services.
