Table of Provisions
1. This statute may be cited as the University of Canberra (Election of Staff, Student and Professorial Members of Academic Board) Statute 2010.
Commencement
2. This statute commences on the date of notification.
3. In this Statute, unless the contrary intention appears:
“Academic Board” means the Academic Board established by section 19 of the Act;
“Act” means the University of Canberra Act 1989 (ACT);
“professorial members” means a member of Academic Board referred to in paragraph 3(1) (e) of the Academic Board Statute 1990;
“staff member” means a member of Academic Board referred to in paragraph 3(1)(f) or (g) of the Academic Board Statute 1990;
“student member” means a member of Academic Board referred to in paragraph 3(1)(i) of the Academic Board Statute 1990.
4. The Council may make rules, not inconsistent with the University of Canberra Act 1989 (ACT) or a statute, with respect to the election of staff members, student members and professorial members of Academic Board.
The foregoing Statute is made by Council under section 40 of the University of Canberra Act 1989 (ACT). The Statute was approved by Council at meeting No. 130 on 6 November 2009.

In making this Statute the University had regard to the provisions of section 40B(1)(b) of the Human Rights Act 2004 (ACT).
