Pfizer Neuroscience Research Grants

Each year, Pfizer Australia awards up to $1.5 million in grants to support medical graduates conducting research in the areas of neuroscience, oncology, paediatric endocrinology, and related areas.

Grants are awarded for 12 months and assist researchers to establish a basis for further research funding applications to granting bodies such as the National Health and Medical Research Council. Grant applications close on 11 May 2012.

Pfizer Cancer Research Grants

Pfizer Australia will allocate up to AUD$300,000 per annum to this initiative as part of their continued commitment to cancer research. The proposals should involve clinical research or translational research. Translational applications are required to describe how the outcomes from the proposed research project will potentially impact clinical practice, policy, or further research in cancer control.

This research grants program is open to medical graduates who are early in their research career. Grant applications close on 11 May 2012.

Australian Spinal Research Foundation grants

The Australian Spinal Research Foundation invites expressions of interest for Grants to support research initiatives. The Foundation has established research priorities to support its vision to contribute and resource research that expands our knowledge base in health care delivery for the well being of our community.

National Disability Research and Development grants

National Disability Research and Development grants will be awarded to researchers for research that supports the National Disability Agreement, the National Disability Strategy and future reforms such as the National Disability Insurance Scheme. A total of $750,000 (ex GST) is available in 2012 for the open competitive funding round. A maximum amount of $100,000 per year will be available for each project. Applicants must submit a Research Proposal and Research Response Schedule electronically to the email address provided. Applications must be received by 14:00, 29/06/2012 (Australian Eastern Standard Time).

Australian Academy of Science - 2012 Honorific Awards and Research Support
