Note:  Test Candidates undertaking the one-day IELTS Intensive Pre-Test Familiarisation at the University of Canberra will be scheduled for their Speaking test on the Saturday afternoon of the test day.

The University of Canberra offers preparation courses for the IELTS. There are evening courses throughout the year, and there is a 5-week full-time day course in May.

The University of Canberra also offers full-time English classes in the day time (ELICOS) which provide some IELTS preparation in addition to working on general and academic English language skills.

22 Jan – 7 Feb (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)*This course is IELTS Preparation ONLY- 3 weeks.

12 Feb – 13 March  (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

18 March– 17 April (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

29 April– 29 May (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

3 June– 3 July (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

22 July – 21 August  (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

26 Aug– 25 Sept  (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

14 Oct - 13 Nov (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

18 Nov - 18 Dec (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

 

The courses run from 6.00pm – 8.00pm on the nights listed above for five weeks.

The sessions for the first three weeks are devoted to IELTS Preparation , and the next two weeks  to Writing and Grammar.

The cost for the five-week course is $750 with all materials provided. It is possible to enrol for only part of the course, depending on your specific needs.
