BRISBANE CAMPUS PLANNING ARRANGEMENTS
The following arrangements will operate as from 16 July 2001 in regard to
the Brisbane Campus.
There will be a Brisbane Campus Steering Committee with responsibility for
policy development:

Vice-Chancellor (Chair)
Executive Director, Corporate Services
Executive Director, Client Services
Pro Vice Chancellor (Academic)
Chief Administrative Officer - Brisbane Campus.
There will be a Brisbane Campus Planning Committee with responsibility for
operational issues. This will include:
- Liaising with Academic Divisions on the development of undergraduate and
post graduate courses;
- Coordinating academic developments on the Brisbane Campus
- Liaising with the Administrative Divisions on the full range of issues
and services that affect the Brisbane Campus;
- Liaising with DMG Pty Ltd.
- Liaising with other external agencies in relation to Brisbane Campus
developments
To ensure that the Committee can meet its objectives, Mr Greg Jones has
been appointed, on an interim basis, as the Chief Administrative Officer
Brisbane Campus.

Secretariat to provide Committee support.
An important function for the Planning Committee will be to act as the main
point of communication on all issues to do with the Brisbane Campus. It is
expected that Divisions will establish their own internal processes to
ensure that the communication flow from the Planning Committee is
optimised. To facilitate this process, a Brisbane Campus web site will be
established.
As a consequence of these arrangements, there have been some changes to
Committee responsibilities:
Professor Carroll will Chair the University Education Committee and the
UC/CIT Joint Status Committee and will take responsibility for finalising
the Review of the Postgraduate Program and the Assessment Policy;
Professor Dearn will Chair the Flexible Learning Committee and the Student
Services Committee.
