Adjunct Professor Roy Barton
Roy Barton has extensive experience as a senior academic, organisational mentor and practitioner, specialising in group-facilitation and organisational learning, working primarily through the vehicle of Value Management. He works in Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Most of his professional practice relates to major infrastructure projects, particularly during the strategic and conceptual phases of such projects. Roy takes a keen interest in community development and ecologically sustainable development. He uses facilitated processes both to capture values and requirements of stakeholders in complex situations and to integrate those values and requirements into project outcomes.
Roy has recently left his permanent position as Associate Professor of Construction Management and Economics at the University of Canberra, to enter private with the Australia Centre for Value Management. He also recently completed a five-year term as Adjunct Professor of Asset Management at Queensland University of Technology.
