Sessional Staff Development Program
Semester 1, 2012
The Sessional Staff Development Program (SSDP):
- provides an orientation to the University from a sessional staff teaching perspective;
- workshops ideas to encourage student participation in tutorials;
- introduces good practice around assessment, moderation, feedback and evaluation; and
- provides some strategies for integrating diverse student groups into the university and in tutorial activity.
New UC sessional staff are welcome to register for and attend any session out of interest. Staff who complete the three sessions in the program receive a certificate of participation in recognition of their commitment to professional development in teaching and learning at the University of Canberra.
The following sessions will be presented by Peter Donnan (Teaching and Learning Centre).
