Courses, Programs & Workshops

CELTS offers:

  • A suite of programs on critical issues in teaching and learning, drawn from staff requests, changing policy directions, and identified needs. In 2006, the emphasis will be on assessment, graduate attributes, the needs of sessional staff, and aligning curriculum with graduate attributes and assessment and learning outcomes.
  • Tailored workshops drawing on those topics, but presented within a school/disciplinary context.
  • Orientation and Introduction to Tertiary Teaching programs.
  • Formal teaching qualifications in the Graduate Certificate of Higher Education (GCHE)
  • A fortnightly series, the Higher Education Forum. The first session of each month will canvass an issue of broad significance to the HE sector, while the second session will be an informal opportunity for all UC staff to discuss potential papers on teaching and learning, debate policy issues, practise a paper etc
  • Individual and staff consultations are always welcomed.
