Overview

This segment of the CELTS website is designed to support staff at the University of Canberra in assessing student learning.  

There are sub-sections of the site on resources, assessment at UC, plagiarism in assessment tasks and FAQs about assessment.

Workshops on assessment

Members of CELTS are available to work with school/divisional staff in the area of assessment.

The critical role of assessment in improving student learning is at the core of this unit. The study of assessment is substantially grounded in the scholarship of teaching and systematically covers concepts from the literature, teachers conceptions of assessment and constructive alignment of assessment with the curriculum and UC graduate attributes. The importance of feedback is highlighted, as well as the promotion of good assessment practice in small and large classes, group learning contexts, online environments and off-shore settings.
