Criteria for evaluating Faculty-based WIL Incubator Projects 2010

       Required

  1. The project is consistent with the University’s Strategic Plan and Faculty Operational Plan;
  2. The project team demonstrates the ability to carry the project to completion within the prescribed timeframe and within budget;
  3. The project engages a range of disciplinary interests within the Faculty;
  4. A research-based approach underpins the project design;
  5. External affiliation is evident in the project design and outcomes, using Course Advisory Groups, where appropriate;
  6. Student learning and/ or stakeholder engagement is addressed in the project evaluation; 
  7. Dissemination of project outcomes is clearly described (including presentation at the WIL Showcase in November 2010); and
  8. Sustainability of the project for the future is addressed.

    Preferable

  9. Future application of the project addresses one or all of the following:
    • Winter Term;
    • Canberra Award program; and
    • Gap Year Recognition program.

Project teams must commit to attending a one-day WIL workshop to be held in July 2010 with Stephen Billett and presenting at the WIL Showcase to be held in November 2010.
